This is the kind of sucka I love! Is this plastic injection or resin?? I think I have fallen in love with this creep! Great work so far. Any ideas for the colours?? David Cronenberg, the moviedirector, cried out often enough for "MORE BLODD" in his films. I will alter this: MORE INESTINES HANGING OUT! Have some ideas right now what I could do with the kit!

Two stupids, one thought. Just read your lines after finishing more inestines hanging out. And more bubbles, scars etc.. Its fun and not that time-consuming (hey, sweet weather out there!). Next weekend well have our expo, maybe I can find some diorama stuff. Went to the local garden center - we need some new flowers for the garden and my bonsai is hungering for some fertilizer - and found a small ananas plant by chance on the floor. I mean REALLY small, about 6 cm tall or so. Would be perfect for the diorama, it didnt even have roots. But I wasnt allowed to take it for free (cashier didnt allow it). Well well.

Ahhh, Bonsai! They have cool roots which I can use for diorama detailing! You can send them to me when the tree, well, you know it. HARHAR!
And I love the GW kits more or less because they offer so much possibilities for superdetailing and altering. And they have great designs!

This is a small one, not too big Bonsai. And its roots are not very diorama-fashionable.

That was simple - its MrHobby clear red (two steps in one, red color AND glossy finish ).

Now that the Orange Vanship is finally complete, I was able to continue here a bit. Tried new Vallejo Game Air colors here for the claws, it works perfectly.

Looking very nice. Like the washes around the red & orange "bubbles". Sweet.

Thank you both. ATM Im trying something new (to me) - airbrushing thin layers of clear cote for some shades etc - the Morbitex will get an orange/yellowish base to fit the main theme (nasty bubbles). In case of doubt its better to keep it simple sometimes. More pictures will follow soon.

An ugly piece of sh... and so EXACTLY what I LOVE!! I think, I MUST HAVE THIS FIGURE, TOO! Incredible design and looks like perfectly cast. OK, I would alter one or three thing, but (MY MAGIC SCULPT IS ON THE WAY!) in general, it looks more than fantastic! Great work here and, btw, what did you pay and where did you buy??

Bought @ Games Workshop here in Leipzig, was around 50€. A bit pricey, but there are three different heads AND three different riders. So thats fair enough. And above all, its really fun to practice all those washing/layering techniques and so forth.

You can find pictures and sprue shots here: www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Morbidex-TwicebornNote that the two alternative versions (Bloab Rotspawned and Orghotts Daemonspew.) have their own entries, which is a bit confusing as there's only one kit and everything is in the box, but you'll have to look at the other entries for the pictures. Downside; GW is always overpriced, look for a discounter... Upside, if you don't intend to use the end product with their rules systems, you can "Mix-and-Match" the bits from the alternatives to build something different you like better. Most GW plastic has this capacity nowadays, which means regular players have overflowing bits boxes they are often willing to share. If you have a GW store handy (there's a store locator somewhere on the GW site), it might be worth wandering along and paying the full price, as they tend to build their own display items and usually have a bit's box too, but they tend to be less happy to let you into it as it's a useful asset to the shop for their own builds. If, however, you explain you want to build a "one-off" for for fun and ask if there's any spare bits they have and think might come in useful, you just might get lucky... Cheers, M

Thanks M for that cool ideas! I would never expect to see this figure as an injection kit, always thought they were done from resin! Here in Düsseldorf is the "Headquarter" of GW Germany and I was there for some times now. Must check it out and a definitive YES to the one-off build. I do not play role playing games and build always for fun projects (and for my portfolio).
Thanks again!

You're welcome - these days it's easier for me to come up with ideas than do anything with them. If you prefer resin, GW now do a lot of their old metal figures in resin, like this guy: www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Great-Unclean-OneI think this was designed for resin from the start: www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Beast-of-Nurgleif you like old Morbidix they may appeal to you. Speaking of multiple options, this box will leave you with more bits left over than go into the finished models, and while a GW fan will realise some parts belong together to match certain themes, there's no "Wrong" way to build them! www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Chaos-Spawn?_requestid=3709931I do wargame, although like all my other hobbies I'm doing nothing at the moment. I don't like the GW systems (except "Battlefleet Gothic") but do use their figures although not as GW intend - I build and paint them as I prefer. Cheers, M
