Thanks Bill. I hadn't thought about it before, but you are right. The fuel tanks were also right behind the main ammo bin. Doesn't help that the only way really in/out for the driver is through that top hull hatch either!

Thanks guys. I'm making progress on the ammo lockers that were in the superstructure sponsons. I should have a few more pics tomorrow. Bill, I can't even imagine what it would be like trying to get out of one of these beasts after it had been hit.

Hello All, I managed to get the ammo lockers for the superstructure finished: I also got a start on painting the actual ammunition: The tools for the outside of the vehicle have also been started. If I'm not careful, I'll have to start painting the insides really soon. Thanks again for looking in.

Thanks Leon. I may try to get a start on the radio this weekend. I have to say I have built entire kits that have not had as many parts as the radio. I hope to have another update early next week.

Thanks Andy. Getting the decals on the ammo is gonna take a while. As I was waiting for decals to set, I got thr radiator and fan units built. I did run into a little bit of a problem with the fans. I do not have any reference pictures for the open side of the fans. Does anybody know if there was anything covering this opening like mesh or something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for looking in.

Nice work on the radiator and fans Bruce. Bill might be able to answer your question on the fan opening.

No screens on the open side of the fans Bruce, they looked just like how you have them now. The airflow inside the Pz IV engine compartment drew most of its air from the side vents on the deck, so there was no need to worry about debris or other things impacting the fan blades or similar. HTH!

Thank you Bill. That's what I thought, but it's nice to have confirmation. I did manage to get the bow MG and radio pretty much done. Both of these assemblies seemed like they were kits all by themselves. Next up: the superstructure. Thanks for looking in.

Hello everybody. I haven't had much bench time for the past few days because I have had a stray kitten trying to take up residence in and under my car since Tuesday night. I finally managed to catch her yesterday morning, and she will be heading to a good home this evening. I did get the air filters and intakes done: I am hoping to gt back to it tomorrow. Thanks again for looking in.

Thanks Leon. I had some good bench time yesterday. I got a start on the gun: I also got a pretty good start on the turret interior. I am hoping to get to the rest of the turret interior tomorrow. I still have to make the doors for the ammo lockers, the intercom boxes, MG ammo bags, and a few other things like that. Thanks for looking in.

Should keep you busy Bruce! I'm assuming the muzzle brake isn't permanently attached? Looks like it's a little off-kilter in the pic above.

Thanks guys. Actually Bill, pretty much nothing is attached in either of the pictures. I'm thinking it should make painting a bit easier. BTW: Congrats on another FSM cover.
