Got to love the color variations and contrasts you've achieved with the green.

I think you nailed the tone of green perfectly. There was a deep memory of PopTarts and Saturday mornings when I first saw the photos.

Thank you guys !!!! this was my first try at post shading, and using post it notes to sharpen a line coupled with a slight tonal difference in the base paint color. I gotta say, I went easy on it, but I think it came out GREAT! Just a couple drops of black into the base green color, took post its and made 3 sides of the "panel" and shot... It wasnt as noticable till I put the gloss on and then it really popped! Now if I can just get a small dio base done and TB 4 heading down the ramp...... LOL... maybe next week.

I wasnt happy... the silicone I used was the 24 hour drying type... so I scraped it off and re did the waves with a white silicone that dries in 30 minutes.... really like the second set of results better!

as a matter of formality... its still not COMPLETED... TB 4 is stuck in there with sticky tack because I didnt get time to put the decals on it and clean it up right... LOL... thats todays goal and add some more white to the waves....I am starting to wonder if I will forever look at what I think is a complete kit and not add something LOL

When I saw the subject line, I thought I'd be looking at a pair of aircraft for the Air Force's aerobatics unit. What show is this from? I don't remember it at ALL.

TB2 looks great. I like it even more on the base. Your water and waves turned out very well also.

Thanks for all the positives!!! that base was built start to finish in 24 hours.... and the waves were my first try using silicone caulking and I gotta say, as long as you use the 30 minute drying time one, white or clear, its an amazingly easy process. add some cotton from a q-tip for splash and it looks great.... the cork for the base was also easy... I still have some learning to do as far as affixing the grasses and getting the base paint and landscape to match better.. but since I had no palm trees ( the scene I remember from the show had palm trees at the waters edge) and I am not ready to tackle trees and real shrubs YET.... this was ok by my standards
