Picked up a Tasca M4a3e2 yesterday after looking for one a long time. Now I want another one.
Plastic was what we expect from Tasca, but decal options sucked big time. The did have the Dragon M4a2, and almost bought it as well. Interestingly, the Dragon kits was roughly the same price as the Tasca Jumbo. That makes Tasca a no brainer! gary

Nice find Gary! Looking forward to seeing you have your way with the kit!! actually my first Sherman in eons will be a Dragon M4a3 with the 105mm gun. My next one after that will be "In The Mood." Now that I've finally found some pictures, and I have the proper starting points. Still even those are following the small turret panther project that has literally blew up in my face. Started out with a Revell Panther kit and sank like a rock. Now it looks like it will restart as a Zvezda Panther D converted to a Berg Panther with a PzKw IV H turret. Only thing I'll use from the Revell kit are some brackets, and I may yet scratch build them instead. Gotta get to rolling on that one as I promised a buddy all the winch and crane stuff in a trade. gary

Projects don't work out all the time...all part of the game! I like the sound of the kitty with the IV turret! Always a good time!! Best of luck!!

Best of luck!! the real issue with the small turret Panther is little documentation. Maybe three or four grainy photos, and that's about it. Still I find it most interesting. The hull appears to be an early "D" Berg Panther. Quite an argument over the turret, but the gun is a short 75mm (L41?), and maybe an "H" turret. Some say there is a turret box at the rear, and others say nay. I'm with the latter as you could not access the engine otherwise. There are no views of the rear, so I plan on leaving the spade brackets. Just can't see them being torched off. gary

I would think if the photographic evidence was that inconclusive then have at it how you see fit! It all comes down to a matter of interpretation of the builder! Unless there is a pic or written specifications, it's all speculation! Maybe L/48 for the barrel?
