I built this as a Kit Review Build for the Military Modelling Magazine site. www.militarymodelling.com/forums/postings.asp?th=112803Built right out of the box and only painted to bring out the model's details. There's five workable design features, driver's and crew compartment interiors, ammo cart and four rounds of ammo. The fit was outstanding, easy clean up but the indy link tracks links are small and the workable link joining system is fragile. Instructions are not that hard to follow but reference photos do come in handy. Trumpeter went above and beyond with this one in my opinion. From what Leon told me there seems to be no difference between the 2S7 and the 2S7M other than the box art so if you're thinking of buying this kit go for the cheapest one you can find they're the same anyway. Thanks Tony lee

Probably one of your biggest SPG projects to date, eh Tony? You certainly did it justice. The breech looks a lot like the 'Stalin's Sledgehammer' 203mm guns that were used in Berlin, just with a much longer barrel. Wonder if they shared the same design heritage?
