stopped by the LHS awhile ago, and came home with the new Tamiya Brumbar kit. On the way upto the register I passed thru the paint aisle, and they had Humbrol and Model Master for 50% off! I ended up buying $65 worth of paint!! About 30 tins of Humbrol alone. gary

I was pretty proud of myself for clearing out kits I'd never build and only adding a couple kits to the stash in 2017. I couldn't resist this though. I think it's going to cut to the front of my build list. Jeff

Nice score Jeff! Got the M3 Lee on pre-order - for some reason they seem to take longer to hit the German market, but it's going to hit my bench as soon as it arrives. Fancy a duel?

Sounds good to me. I'm hoping I can get a start on it sometime in October. I was planning on building a spitfire next for a change of pace, but the Grant is calling my name.

Jeff I want to do a couple, and possibly a third. One in USSR service (Lend Lease), and for sure a N. Africa tank. I may wait to see if a cast hulled version shows up, as that's the one I really want. No matter what, we're a couple steps closer to getting a "LulleBell". gary

Picked up two 1/72 Airfix kits yesterday. The F4f4 Martlet (I thought it was identical to the Wildcat, but it's not). Also picked up their new Stuka. Both look like very nice kits. While I was there I ordered two Airfix MK.Vb Spitfires and the Trumpeter F4f4 Wildcat. Wanted to also get the F4f3, but everybody is out of stock at the moment. Maybe next month while I pace the floor waiting for two AMK Tomcats.
Also heard that the new Revell P51d is shipping in October, and according to Roy at Barracuda it's fantastic! I'll be poor till April. Actually all next year as I'm buying a diamond ring for the Devine Ms.G. gary

I have the best wife in town! We celebrated our 22nd Wedding Anniversary over the weekend. I told her not to worry about getting me anything, since I have been out of work for a couple years, and she said OK. Should have reinforced that thought. Opened the mail today and what do I find? A new variable speed Dremel, and, the Drill Press accessory set! I sure hope she doesn't get tired of me any time soon.

two or three weeks ago, Spru Brothers had the Meng Me410 on sale for $34. I caught the sale about an hour before it ran out, and of course I ordered one. Told them to use the cheapest shipping option. Well it finally showed up Saturday! I'd about gave up on it.
Now I'm waiting till the first of the month, as I have a huge order in the shopping cart. gary

how many of us are buying the new Revell Mustang? Roy Southerland of Barracuda aftermarket says it's a great kit. I think I'll buy two or three, but wish they'd done a P51b gary

picked up a 1/32 Hasegawa JU87G with a bunch of aftermarket from a friend of mine. Wanted one for a long time, and was thinking of buying the Trumpeter kit when this deal came up. I already had the JU87D in the stash, so had a rough idea what was in the Hasegawa box. Now I need to hunt up some unique decals for both kits. gary

well my two Airfix 1/48th scale Spitfire MK.Vb's finally landed Friday (they forgot to tell me). Been trying to land a couple for almost two years now! A very nice kit. Even came with everything to do a tropical Malta Spitfire. Highly recommended. Then I look on the shelf, and there are two Airfix 1/72 scale ME262's. You know I grabbed both kits! Have not opened the bag to see it up close, but looks very nice with a couple small reservations. Not much detail in the engine areas, but the big one is the engraved panel lines on the fuselage. Real ME262's had the seams bondo'd over. Not sure about the wings. Cockpit look like typical Airfix. Nice but also lifeless. Decals were OK at best, but would do in a pinch. Still a steal at $19.
