The other weekend I was getting burned out by all the tanks I've been building recently and I wanted to have some fun again. I picked up a 1/35 resin car kit for $5 at a local swap meet and started digging thru the boxes of spare parts. Obviously I was inspired by the retro-future hover cars of Alejandro Burdisio. Still a bit of work to do. BK

Love it! You've certainly nailed the Burdisio style. The only thing I don't care for with his work is the festoons of cables hanging from EVERYTHING: surely the technology has invented cable ties. They're not so bad on the buildings, but on anything that moves they're bound to snag - but what the hell, it's fantasy. I'd had ideas of doing something similar with a Schwimmwagen, but it was very far down the "To Do" list; I may have to revise that... Cheers, M

Thanks!
MM -I have a Kubelwagon and SAS Jeep that may get the same treatment. I certainly have enough parts in the spares!

I really like the fusion between the Burdisio style and something more "Road Warrior" ("Sky Warrior"?) with a touch of Rat Rod thrown in; it raises the model from a straightforward "homage" build (albeit exceptionally well executed) to something unique and individually yours.
Respect!

Thanks Leon.
Thanks Moramarth! After I posted my initial images back in November last year, I started seeing all these similarly Burdisio inspired fly cars pop up. All with a civilian finish. So, like you mentioned, I fused some road warrior and rat-rod and added a little spin on it. The guns are 1/32 scale and I like how they appear oversized.

They certainly add a new twist to the concept: sort of "Mad Max" meets "Blue Max"...
Cheers,
