Terry, thread the pulleys for the tailgate before you install them on the tailgate, it will make the task much easier.

This was supposed to be my first build of the year. Got the metal barrel, and need some photo etch. Might also go with an AM track set. Just waiting on my left hand to function again. gary

Not trying to hijack the thread, but Mark the difference in price must be compared with the ease of assembly that Tamiya gives versus the known dimensional errors of the AFV gun tube. Your mileage may vary.

Assuming your building a model of an actual SPG, then look at it real close. Some used the cable for the ramp at the rear. Yet some used two chains. Plus I've seen pics of more than one with nothing back there. gary

Your mileage may vary. Well I got mine as a gift, but after doing some research the prices are comparable at least on Sprue Bothers. To me the ease of assembly that Tamiya provides is a plus. Having done the AFV version this is much better and more enjoyable.

Terry Tammy assembly speaks loud indeed. The hull and running gear look great
Joel if I do one of these it will be in diorama format. The figures and shells Tammy includes in this kit and AFV Club does not would make up the difference in price easy. Besides, it's a Tammy!
