Just wondering how some of you out there feel about the Spare Parts bin/collection.
For me and me alone, I can't imagine a build without them PJ2

Gotta have it! You break stuff, carpet monster/pets eat parts, things go through the worm hole and can't get back, etc. I suspect that some of our members could build whole models out of their spares boxes!

technically anything not ALREADY firmly attached to a completed model is "spare" worthy LOL.... IE, kits I will never build, Kits that have been built and sumerilly destroyed, shelf queens.... all fair game!!! Except for that ONE PART you need to have but lost to the carpet monster..... enter the casting process!

Actually, don't have much of a spare parts bin, but what I do have, is ANCIENT. Think the oldest I do have is Tamiya's Flak 88 that I got out of the garbage can that someone had thrown away for what ever reason. That was at Elmendorf AFB somewhere between 77-79. Finding wheels from 1/72nd & 1/72th scale tanks are handy for wheels on a cart for example.

Invaluable only yesterday I lost a lifting hook of a engine deck. No matter how hard I looked no luck in finding it. Spares box came to the rescue found 2 of them that would match the ones in the kit I was making. Only one needed so still have a spare for next time. Steve
