Great start John. Hey......if you decide to throw this one out the window after building at least it'll look purdy in flight for a little bit.
Looking forward to more.

Thanks for watching! Interior: Tailsitting is a problem with this model. But I've hidden several ounces of lead shot in various places and look to have beaten the problem. The fit of the interior panels is.......liberal. There's more than enough room for things to fit. I'm going to need some additional gap seals before it's all done. If you've ever flown a Cessna, this image will trigger deep memories. Perhaps have the interior enclosed by the middle of next week.

Getting ready to enclose the fuselage halves. But There's some gap filling to be done. Although all this is a hassle, it does serve to remind us of how much better our models have been manufactured over the last 30 years. Some more lead weight for the nose. Fun add-ons for the interior Stupid 1980's gap. Slightly less stupid 21st century gap seal. I'm glad that the window fits pretty well. But there is a considerable gap at the glare shield which will need to be fixed. The next few days should see the two halves joined and then the exterior parts should go together pretty quickly.

Hope "should go together pretty quickly" don't turn out to be famous last words

Excellent work as always John.
As the others have said that's a massive kit - if my maths is right about 16 inches long and a 21 inch(ish) wingspan. I'm assuming you have some 'big' plans for such a large model.
ATB.

I'm assuming you have some 'big' plans for such a large model. ATB. Andrew Yes! I'm going to tape it to the hood of my car and see how fast it goes before something dramatic happens! Honestly, my models seldom see the light of day once they're finished. It'll go to a couple of shows and then sit quietly in its custom made box until I decide that the hood of my car needs another layer of duct tape.

Great job as usual John! Missing flying the puddle-jumpers? Only the 180 horsepower SuperCub. This funny old model has some funny old characteristics. The controls are meant to articulate by means of springs. It's silly and I'll be gluing the surfaces tightly together instead. Parafilm is a recently discovered product which I will be using to mask the windows. The wings will need another day for sanding and smoothing. But the fuselage is just about ready for paint.

That looks fantastic John! Great work on the interior and tail code. Did you cut the masks with your plotter-cutter?
