Don't forget, by buying direct all proceeds go to the manufacturer, benefiting not just his wallet, but future production as well. You will also be able to have a look at all-round pictures of the turrets by clicking on the products - I didn't want to squeeze them all into this post. I can guess what some you might want to ask: "Will there be TANK upgrades for the T-34/85?" Well, I don't know - but certainly not in the near future. But what a treat, though! BTW, if your appetite has been whetted (if not - what's wrong with you? ), but you don't have a T-34/76 in your stash, lucky model is currently offering the AFV Club kit with interior for just over 20 bucks. cheers, Dierk

I'm quite sure this will cross Steve's radar very soon. It actually crossed the radar about a week ago. ;D Dierk has definitely made our lives easier by pointing to a vendor who is carrying them. These products- especially the turrets- look amazing! I will be interested to see how the resin upper hull fits the Dragon lower hull tub- but apart from that I have no reservations what-so-ever. I'd like to see Tank sell a ton of these items- First because I will get a lot of fun out of seeing what you guys can do with the stuff. Second because if Tank does well with these there will be more T-34 stuff coming down the line. As it should be...... Steve

Looks like they are solid, but I could be wrong. Had another look at these and came to a conclusion.....how can you get just one.!!! I mean which do you chose. Just have to get a couple then ey....(Steve)...LOL. I have a few T-34/76 kits, AFV , Dragon and Zvesda. Might have to get an upper hull and turret for a build and paint review.

Looks like they are solid, but I could be wrong. You are - turrets are hollow and made up of 4 to 5 parts each. Just gets better doesn't it? cheers, dierk

I had the suspect they were hollow because of the price. A solid resin casting of that weight it's fairly unlikely to cost only 23 bucks, I suppose.

Hi Luigi, yes they are resin, but resin is cheap and labour isn't - and I suppose casting a hollow turret would be much more difficult than a solid one. BTW I had a sneaky look at the TANK pricelist where a full interior for T-34 turrets is listed I'll keep you posted when I know more. cheers, Dierk

Dierk- thanks for the update! Solid turrets use more resin as Luigi said. But a hollow turret requires a multi- part mold which means you lose some casts to mis-alignment bubbles etc. It is more labor intensive and the molds will wear out more quickly- so the costs are ultimately higher.
That said- as a modeler I prefer hollow turrets. Easier to add a figure and possible to do an interior.
These look like great products and as usual with T-34 stuff I just cannot decide which one I want. So I will be having them all just to be sure!
Steve

Rob-
there is just something about this tank! If I spend a few thousand on this type of item sooner or later I will know what the heck I am looking at and companies will start sending me samples :-)
Of course by then I will be too old to pick up an X-Acto knife. :-)

I hate to have to say it, but I feel let down by the great and the good - you lot! - remember this "numerous front plates (brain is fried from info-overload - somebody please tell me what the correct term is)"? And did anybody tell me? It took a non-modelling friend of mine (they have their uses) to ask me out of the blue: What's a 'glacis plate'? for the Penny to drop... ;D Tsk, Dierk
