Hey guys, I wanted to try my hand at some groundwork so I started this little dio a couple of weeks ago. You can kind of see the layout in these pics. I shaped it out of foam… And then had at it with the plaster. and the spray paint.. I then coated what was tan in the previous pics with flat brown. Today, I finally had the time and the gumption to attempt grass. I also accented the grass with some little tufts (I bought some crappy decorative “moss balls” from the dollar store and ripped the grass tufts off and stuck them right on:). The color is not right, but I ‘ve got big plans to dry brush them and add a few more layers in general. I like the way it’s turning out, but have some way to go. I’m thinking it needs a bush or small tree or two. Comments welcome . Cheers.

Spent a few minutes on groundwork today as well. A quick update. Used a white glue and water mix to stick some dirt/gravel to the roadsides. Also, used the same adhesive mix to apply some leaf litter and a few flowers here and there. Still have a ways to go and more layers to add but I like where it’s going. Let me know what you think. Cheers ☺

What?!?!? No Frenchy lady? Kidding! It really looks GREAT! Maybe 'To Paris' sign? Again, beautiful work on the figures especially the camo tops.

Hi Nate looks brilliant,The whole scene is very good, what i do when the palster has nearly gone off is to indent a stone over the whole thing, it then leaves a earthy sort of uneaveness to the ground and is good for dry brushing

Hey Gary, I just used a craftstore plaster of Paris. Comes in a big 5 lb bucket for like 5$. Just add water til you get the consistency you're looking for:)

Great Dio! I will have to try using some regular plaster, been using light-weight hydrocal.
