The finish on the E-3 is the perfect shade of sand. What did you use for the RLM79?

Love them all!!! But I am little biased because I am huge fan of tropical paint so I really like that Me-109. Eduard Me-109 is already on my wish list to buy at upcoming shows if I ever see one. Thanks for sharing with us!

Many thanks guys! Apologies for the delayed response, but it’s been a busy day here.
@john, that Airfix 109 is a favorite of mine too 😉
@joe, I have no idea who the pilot of this 262 was. That was not listed on the decal sheet, only the unit was… Kommando Nowontony. Apologies to the 262 purists, but when I built this kit, in my pre internet days, I did not know that that unit did not carry the underwing R4M rockets, and only the final users did so.
Brent, the RLM 79 is Gunze Aqueous, as well as the RLM 78 undersides.
Andy, I do love the tropical schemes as well. I hope that you find that Eduard 109 for yourself soon. I need to get a G finished and added to the family soon.

Ski & Tony, thank you sirs for your kind words. If I ever get around to building all of the 109s in my stash, it will be quite the gathering for a group photo. 😉

Now that is some absolutely stunning Luftwaffe. Outstanding work on you 109's and 262. Yup, I'm mighty partial to the trop schemes myself. Thanks stik.

TJ & Joe, thanks.
TJ, the Hobbycraft kits were really good bargains when released. Nowadays they tend to be overpriced by the eBay sellers, but every now and then you can find one still. Academy has since reboxed and reissued them, but they tend to be over priced I think for the new boxings.
Joe, the tropical/desert color scheme on both sides were pretty attractive… Italian, German, UK, or US, they all looked good.

Thanks Mike. Looking at these, the more I think that I need to get a 1/48 Gustav added before this year is out...
