They're creepy and they're kooky Mysterious and spooky They're all together ooky The Addams family. The house is from Gold Rush Bay. The car is Ricko. And the figures are 3D printed. All in HO 1/87 scale.

I didn't even know about the Bates Motel! It looks like there's some good stuff available in HO/1:87th. I've often wondered why, in the U.S., having (mostly) gone with the sensible 1:48 for their "O" (or "0") gauge railway modellers went with the European 1:87 ratio (half size for 1:43.5- who dreamed that up?), unless 1:96 wasn't technically feasible at the time. That was why in the U.K. we went for "OO"/"00"scale - 1:76(.2) - but running on undersized HO/H0 track, and ending up with (effectively) only U.K. rolling stock and scenery...
I'm not trying to seduce you away from this group (to which I have only recently returned myself) but I believe this thread elsewhere may be of interest to you (if you are not already aware of it). It is for a group build of railway-compatible scenery, the second in a series of group builds intended to be appealing to persons not usually involved in that aspect of the hobby. The original end date has passed but the GB has been extended to a yet-to-be-confirmed date, and I believe this creation of yours would be most welcome there.
Regards,
M

That is beyond cool. I would love to have this in my HO layout (if I had one). I like these several different shades of coloring for the lights. Excellent idea. The Bates motel is killer too, along with a very familiar ambulance. Cannot wait to see more of your work. Thanks for taking the time to post this. The pictures are awesome.

Very cool. I was at universal studios back in 1987, took the tour, we saw the Bates motel and the psycho house. There's a path from one to the other, the psychopath 😁

Man, this is so magnificent! The fact that you are gonna have all those houses on a train layout; you're simply living my dream. I have no space, time or resources; much less the skill to do all of them as make them look as spectacular as this.
