Next is a tree. I did this in my lunch break today,half hour turned into an hour though. Started with a piece of dead heather that i collected on a walk a while back. Allways got the modellers head on even when out walking with the wife. to this i added some very fine polly fibre material that stretches and pull apart to how you want it. This was them sprayed with hairspray and herbs were sprinkled on to this. This was then sprayed with hairspray again and then given a coat of olive green.

This was fixed to the base and the trunk of the tree will be thickened up with greenstuff later. Added some life just to see what its lookin like.

went over the shop tonight for biscuits to dunk in the tea and by the shop was a bush with what looked like 35 scale apples growing on it.I will have some of that cheers.

Done the base of the tree tonight in greenstuff.Will be painting that tomorrow .Next will be the addition of some detail planting in the form of saplings,ferns and general undergrowth. thats it for today lads. hope you like and may use some of the techniques used.Andy A

Nice looking dio! Also nice work with the WS polly fiber, I could never get it to look right. Love all the little detail, they really make a big difference.

Bodge, you really are the King of Dio mate. It's got plenty of detail and I just love all the green stuff, very convincing! Figures and vehicle look awesome as well!
