I’ve always liked the look of the muscle cars from the 60’s and early 70’s and the Dodge/ Plymouth and Chrysler products were at the forefront for me back when I was a kid. Growing up it in the late 70’s and early 80’s I exposed to the deflated horsepower ratings and cars that were a slave to the EPA. Gone were the days of the true performance that existed in the early 70’s and the decades preceding. Cars like what Chris has built here were the heavy hitters that I heard many stories about in my youth from my uncles and their friends. This car is a very well represented “heavy hitter” that once roamed the streets in those days. Plenty of detail and amazing paint work round this one out to be one good looking replica of a Superbee. Fantastic work on every level Chris. Glad to have you among us here at MSC bud. The completed build thread: MPC 1970 Dodge Coronet Superbee

Chris, this is sublime! Very smooth all around and I love the color. Do you strip the chrome plating on the bumpers et al and paint it yourself? I like the scale look of it whatever you are doing.

Wow…. That is absolutely gorgeous. I love the color combo chosen for this build. What is that green? It’s perfect. Well deserved. Congratulations!👍
Coincidentally, I just picked this kit up yesterday.

Thank you Eric. Except for the rims, I stripped all the Chrome and repainted with AK Extreme Metal Chrome. The rims I left plated but selectively re-painted areas to give them a more realistic look.

Beautifully built and detailed model. MOPAR is where it was at in the 70's, they were the the muscle kings! (I'm a Ford guy too). Well done.
