There are some really great armor builds on this site and every time I see one I am just amazed by the amount of talent that goes into bringing one of these beauties to life. What really stops me in my tracks (no pun intended) is when I see a build in some of the smaller scales that looks like a larger scale version of any given subject. That is exactly what Marc did here with this build. The paint, weathering and detailing that went into this model is nothing short of a true labor of love. You done good on this one Marc ol' buddy. Shoot, Joe. I'm glad you like it so much! I'm certainly happy with how the paint came out (especially in 1/48). As usual, I can see a few things after the fact that I would love to fix!

When it comes to armor, I really enjoy these smaller scale builds, especially the later kits due to the fact that there's so much detail packed into them these days. I can definitely relate to things that need to be addressed after I'm "done" with a build as I'm the guy that'll look at completed build months down the line and go "DOH.....How did I miss THAT??!!"

That is a very well deserved honor Marc. Your awesome panther is worthy of being featured. You certainly gave me plenty of tips and inspiration with that build. Yes, I am still working on mine. Bravo!

Thanks all around, fellas! The ambush schemes certainly tend to be eye catching. You guys are going to make me build a lot more 1/48 armor, I can tell. Hahaha.

Outstanding work! I'm not a really big Armour man but that's the best Panther I've seen in a long time. I get tired of seeing the tired, worn-out battle weary tanks. Stay safe. Jim

While I think there's a bit more weathering in person versus in my pics, I'm in the same boat. I prefer my tanks to be not completely trashed. This took 1st in out-of-box armor at the contest I went to last week!

That's the way I build most of my models. They look a little used, not just out the factory doors and not worn out. Planes, cars, ships all done the same unless it is something special. Stay safe. Jim
