lastly, my current project which isn't too far away from being finished. This is my version of Mando's N-1 star fighter from Revell It lacks a lot of internal detail but TBH, you won't see a lot once it's all buttoned up. That hasn't stopped me from adding some greeblies though
My chosen colour scheme. I figured, if this is meant to be a sci-fi "hot rod" then it should look like one
It was almost done but then some chemical drop found its way onto the paint and ruined it
I had to strip the body back to bare plastic and start again - 3 times now! You know those builds that just fight you every step of the way - this is mine. Anyways, that's it for me for now, but thanks for stopping in and having a look Si

The details that you put into your work is nothing short of amazing bud. Sorry to hear of the paint mishaps but already know that you'll prevail over the issue. I really get a charge out of seeing your work and am looking forward to seeing more on this one.
Glad you're here Simon.

Great looking detail work. I admire you haven't shelved this after having to strip it 3 times. I'll be watching for this to return once you get the paint work sorted out.

That's nice! I just picked one up. Is the fit decent? I haven't actually looked at it yet.

The fit is fine, no problems (yet), unless you add too much detail to the machine spaces, then it becomes an issue. I had to take some detail out to make it fit. There are some sink marks around the trailing edge of the wings where they join the body though. But nothing more than the usual Revell oddities. No seam lines to clean up either which is a bonus. The way they have engineered it is actually pretty decent. There is someone on The RPF who has designed and will print completely new details to replace all the machinery spaces as well as a few other bits like the bottom engine and some cockpit detail, but that of course came after I'd already committed to doing my own. It would be cool if Revell would make a fully panelled N1 but include all the hotrod add ons this one has, so you could really customise it. I live in eternal hope

This is another stunning build of a very cool ship!! I love your added details. The color scheme is killer too. Perfect space hot rod. Great work. Can’t wait to see the conclusion. Sorry about the paint issues.

Sadly, I am putting this away for the foreseeable future. Yep, it's happened yet again (a severe masking tape issue) and to add insult to injury, some paint has completely lifted at the back Needless to say, I am more than just a tad annoyed. I am not striping this back for the 5th or 6th time ( its happened so often I have actually forgotten the exact amount). Maybe once I've calmed down enough to look at it again I will but until then, I don't want to know about it. I'm truly sorry for those watching but I'm sure you will understand. My patience does has a finite value to it
I thought this one would be pretty straight forward but it's been anything but and I'm over it.
Thank you to those who showed support along the way by posting and liking - I really appreciate it and its to those people that I am sorry to.
As always, thanks for stopping in and I shall see you around
Si

Sand off a bunch more red and weather the thing up. Maybe not what you were originally after but would work very well.

Understandable why you are walking away from it for a while. I'll be watching for it's return once you get there
