TANK #A-305 T-34/76, 112 Factory Turret Item number ; A-305Price; $23 plus shippingAvailable here; models-hobby.comI'd like to thank TANK of Russia for sending the review samples to us (MSC) for review and possibly as MSC MoY ( model of the year) prizes. First up for review is the factory 112 turret with welded on additional armor. The cardboard box contains parts cast in a gray resin, similar color as Dragon or Trumpeter styrene kits, and these are in a plastic ziplock baggie. Set also includes very basic instructions, basically one step drawing showing where the parts go. Base kit ( Dragon etc) will clearly show where the smaller parts go on a T-34/76 turret. The turret is in two sections, upper turret and turret floor/ring. You also get a turret roof and hatch. The turret roof looks to be a resin copy of a styrene kit part. Noticeable by the ejector pin marks on the inside of this part. The main thing with this turret is that it has welded on armor plates to the sides. The detail here is very crisp with some very nice welds. The plates and welds will really stand out with paint and some weathering. The set does not include a barrel so it's up to the builder to use a standard plastic kit part or AM metal barrel. Conclusion; A very nice addition for the T-34 lovers. Parts are well cast and the details are great. It's clearly seen that standard model kit parts were used, assembled or altered for this set. The texture and crisp welds on the turret look very nice and will stand out once painted. A must have item to complete your T-34/76 collection.

Glad to see Yaroslav finally pulled his finger out and sent the promised goodies ;D but it was worth the wait! BTW, if you buy direct from models-hobby.com the turrets will set you back $23.00 plus postage each. Cheers, Dierk
