Premi air, Liquid Reamer
A solvent based airbrush cleaner supplied in a 150ml aerosol spray can, a large enough can to last a fair while I would assume
This product states on the can it can soften and dissolve hardened deposits in most makes of airbrush and spray guns so this was crying out to be used on my own Mr Hobby airbrush. I don’t know about you but I always forget to clean the lid so this would be a good test for the cleaner
With the aid of the straw that is supplied I sprayed some liquid into the cup and worked it around with an old paintbrush, I did the same with the lid and left it about 10mins to work its magic. I then discharged it through the airbrush into the cleaning station and wiped the cup out with some paper kitchen towel. When I looked at the lid which had a good paint build up in it I noticed the paint had gone all wrinkly and a huge amount of old paint came off on the towel so much so I repeated the steps again and you could see it was cleaning down to the metal
This solvent based cleaner I would give top marks to as it really shifts hardened paint and shifts it easily
Premi air, Foaming Cleaner
This cleaner is again supplied in a 150ml aerosol spray can but this time is a water based cleaner. It states on the can that this product penetrates and dissolves most alkali soluble acrylic colours
I used this one to quickly blow through the airbrush after a change of paint colour. When I had finished with the paint I simply wiped out the residue from the cup and sprayed a cup of the foaming cleaner in and let it stand for just a few minutes before discharging it and done the same again with a cup of water, point to note this cup is very small on a regular size cup you need less of the cleaner, say about a third to half a cup
A good cleaner to be use on an everyday basis or between acrylic colours
Big thanks again to Alex from the Airbrush Company for sending our review samples
