I became intrested after seeing a 1/35 model,
But it was still useing the same gun mount as a factory made Brumbar.
Somehow that didn't seem right to me.
So I tried my hand at changing this around.
First I'll show you the end results......then I'll show the steps it took.
I decided that since this was supposed to "late" in war,
I went with "all steel" road wheels and return rollers.
I had thought about making it with only three return rollers,
but as I thought about it.....
In my mind this was brought into the depot at a time of dire need,
and a full rebuild would not be time worthy.
All in all, it was a great deal of fun,
and so here it is.
Here's how I started........
First with the gun mount
I thought about the type of gun it should carry,
so I test fitted the guns from the Jagd-Sturm Tiger I made.
I decided that since this was based on the Panzer IV chassis....
I could not go with a realy big gun.
But since I would offer this for sale as well .....
I'd best offer a choice.
So first I went with the 75mm gun from the Panther.
then to offer an optional gun,
I went with the 88mm from the King Tiger.
Then I played with other ideas for other things.
I decided to change the back hatch.
And while I did decide on the Late model exhausts (Pz IV),
I played with other ideas as well, but these all "looked" too big.
Before deciding on a Tiger Copula,
I thought about the driver's hatch from the Elefant.
that's it for this one.
