Good Day Folks! I started another build! I probably should finish the other 3 first, however, this has been a fun learning process, building in different genres. I have made some progress on my other builds, and will be updating those threads soon. Here we have a Tamiya's Willys Jeep 1/4 Ton -Steven

Why worry, each of us is wearing an unlicensed nuclear accelerator on his back.

Good Day Folks! Thanks all for the kind comments, these little kits are a blast, it allows people like me, that are on a tight budget to be able to enjoy the hobby. The project is almost completed, it's all assembled. Next I have A LOT of paint touch-ups, then the scary part, the "weathering". I am thinking, I am just going to do a small diorama with this one. -Steven

Looking real good! You can't really go wrong with weathering... start small if it helps and you can always add more until you are satisfied.

Having a blast is what it's all about Spud, think we need to remind ourselves now and again. The jeep looks great

Thanks all for the kind words, been working on finishing off the Zero this evening. One of the landing gears is fighting me. Watching the DVD I received from Spud, and plan on starting the weathering on the jeep Friday. Also, been reorganizing the workshop/office, so I can do some small scale diorama stuff as I plan on making a small scene for the jeep.

Thanks to spud, I have the following AK Products, Light rust wash, dark streaming grime, and dark brown. I also have a full range of weathering powders. Any suggestions on applying these to the jeep would be greatly appreciated. I do have the AK Interactive DVD weathering techniques, but was seeing if anyone has other techniques.
