Right i have a thing for the English during the War and seeing as there isn't enough of it out there it gets on my tits. But when Ben wanted to swap this i was all over it like a bad Rash We are having our First Model exhibit/swap meet thing that's open to the public on the 18th of next Month and i want to try and get this ready for it, i will have a new barrel and some Rb stuff in the post this week, I will also be using some Fruils tracks used by the British on some of the Fireflys and they are metal no rubber. I will be using MiniArt British Tank Crew, With Hornet heads And A MiniArt Base, Ben Sent me over the Turret Which survived, But I think I will be Missing out on a big part of the build if I don't do my own, But that turret wont be wasted as it can be used at some other time for something Else So First things First Wheels/Suspension.......... I taught German thanks were bad. All Ready for Primer that ill slap on now and paint tomorrow

i still have the old needle that's useable but not for detail stuff so that's gone in and done the job ,
Dicky i think it my my dog she has a habit of going out on the window and must have caught the hose on her way out.

Tough break there Spud, you need a 'disaster recovery' stock of needles by the sound of it!

Sweeeeeeeeet! I knew you said you were starting this Spud but I didn't know you were blogging too so I'm sorry I missed this thread until now! I really hope my 7th Armd Decals get to you soon or I'll be worrying. They were sent ROI 1st Class to ensure you got them asap due to 'Mother's forgetful incident' I'm sure they'll be there soon. When we did the actual kit package post swap I posted the Firefly on Friday pm and iirc you had received it by the following Monday so I'm getting concerned that a basic envelope hasn't made it in 3 working days yet I'm sure they will be with you in the next day or two - I hope so as it took me ages to scrape that set together and it would be great to see them in use! I'm sure Archer will do a FULL 100% correct set should the worst happen. One thing you will notice is if you try and fit my turret onto the hull top and locate the turret tabs the hole is a bit too big and the turret wobbles around a fair bit. To cure that I cut two 1.5mm wide strips of 0.25mm thickness plasticard and glued the strips inside the ring - the turret then fitted perfectly but I'm sure you'll figure this out. The PE fenders are a bit of a pita but look superb. I'll be following closely my good mate! Ben

Lol Bill at €30 a pop that wont be happening Im sure they will be here tomorrow or Tuesday. As for the Turret ive decided to start the one from the Kit as its big chunk of the build and I think I would miss out on the fun of it, and i have an idea for the one you made so its not a total loss i Ordered a new barrel from Rb prob have that mid week.

I think I know what happened. You lost an aggressive bidding war on eBay and you were so upset that you stabbed your computer with the AB needle. Is that possible? LOL
Looking forward to your next update buddy!

Damn Spud. I think you need to put the AB on a string to keep it from falling and hitting the ground. I usually will always put the cap on, remove the hose when not in use, even for changing colors. It gets placed towards the back of the bench or in the drawer below the bench. I had one fall with the cap on back in Germany. It landed onto the cap forcing it onto the AB that it was hard to take off. And when I did get it off ,the needle was bent like yours is now. I learned the hard way too, ended up buying another needle and then a new AB.

funny thing is Rob my Cap was on. and i never taught of disconnecting it from the hose :/ i have a qr so that will be done from now on. Boogies are Done and movable just incase . they just need a satin coat to protect them from scratches and on to the next stage,

looking good Spud.
Yep mine bent with the cap on too. I too have the QR and it's great. Makes it much easier to use.
