I thought my underside was my best feature. Ican safely say i have never put so much effort into a diorama the research alone takes hours. Watching your projects over the last few years and what you can do with plastic card has always been a wonder and insperation so guilty as charged first sea lord of the smoking porthole i got some real eye candy for you soon.

right the other material that has speeded everything up and is easy to work with is DAS clay simple things like someground work can be added in no time. get some clay roll it out cut to shape add to base stipple with old tooth brush instant groundwork . DSC07433 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. As seen above basic ground work ready for detail work. Ido tend to do a lot of trial and error mix and match heres my first test fit for the support walls on the off side oh and i added the tank for a colour check . DSC07442 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. and guess what..yip things changed .Mac .Rgs Mac

Because of the size of this project i am sort of bouncing around all over the place. I have also been painting the wood planks that act as a floor to the bridge. . DSC07436 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. I did try to make the wood none uniformal in grain pattern more on this later Sorry Luigi missed your post came from plus models selection. Rgs Mac

Mac the bridge and the wooden planks and rails all look superb mate. Really nice stuff. The composition of the scene is also excellent with the height of the bridge in all. Just make sure the focal point to the scene is in the right place where the eye will be drawn to first then all other details can be absorbed after and you will have a winner. This is the sort of work that inspires me to model. First rate matey probably the best bridge i have seen.WOW.This build will have to be published when done for all to see.

Kind words my friend and top advice too i have a plan for the focal point there will be no escaping it,i am using colour as my light for the moths to be drawn too.Its always those little things i love but as you rightly say they are secondary. so much work still to do.

One thing i do like to get in is some nature not all just bricks steel and rust. From Andy A ihave learnt how important it is to get the vegitation spot on with as many types of vegitation as you can squeeze in heres the start. . DSC07451 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. Rgs Mac

Vegetation looks great. If it weren't for the paint bottles in the backgroud could pass for real.
