Hi all, I will be going to my local(ish) hobby store sometime this week, and, although, i've made a list of what i want to get, I was wondering if anyone had ideas about anything else you think i should get. here's what i'm thinking of getting so far: -tank kit(s) -fruils for waffentrager (if they have hetzer fruils) -Tamiya Extra Thin cement (I usually use Testors, but have heard good things about the tamiya stuff) -sheet styrene and rod, for scratchbuildiing/fixing -diorama supplies (possibly) -rust paint (oxide, etc) -tamiya flat clear (acrylic) -other paint (green, hull red, dungelgleb, brown, whatever i need for kit(s) i purchase) -hobby knife blades -sandpaper -misc weathering products -paintbrushes(?) -anything else that looks/shiny/cool/out of my price range, etc -decal fluid Any suggestions would be appreciated, as there's inevitably some important thing that I've forgotten and will desperately need. Thanks, -Oliver

WOW Oliver...my HS list usually contains tape, a jar or 2 of paint, maybe some styrene and Tamiya Extra Thin Cement. Man...i dont know fella....if ya got tha cash, it always feels good to come home with a new kit! Have you ever used the tamiya flat base before? Is that whats on your list? If not used before, it is a flat base additive. You need to mix with Tamiya gloss and thinner to get a proper satin or flat coat. Thats all i use myself. The mix is touchy to get right but man when ya do its awsome stuff. It holds up 100% to all my washes, oils, and a complete beat down! And Tamiya Extra Thin Cement...id be lost without it bro. I loves that stuff!!! Let use know what ya pick up Oliver. Cheers, Gary

Looks like you are all set... maybe you should add one more thing to your list... 'avoid meeting a girl at the shop'. Believe me it was the reason I stopped modeling decades ago.

Thanks guys. Seems I have it covered . @gary, thanks about the flat base tip! What I've been using is flat clear, which is airbrushsble, but I think I'll get the base next.
