Hi chaps Here's my latest, Tamiya's lovely little 1:48 Hetzer but with a twist. The markings are sprayed on with custom masks and it's my first go at doing the bare steel so be gentle! I've also updated my blog which has more info on the project plus my latest WIP. haggismodels.blogspot.co.uk/

Haggis, that a magnificent piece of work right there! Having worked many years with raw sheet steel and iron, i can say you nailed it quite convincingly. Well done!

For some reason I've head a Hetzer in the back of my head lately and have been and tempted to buy one. Have o say this may well have just pushed me over the edge. i have a steel fabrication plant not far form me and drive by it all the time. your steel looks just like waht's sitting in the yard.

Haggis, a small technical question here. What were the base paint colors that you used to do the bare steel plates?

So tell me what there is to be gentle about. I looks as tho you welded it up from steel and let it sit in the rain for awhile. Fantastic effect, I love it
Regards, Mark

Hi chaps, thanks for all the support and encouragement, it means a lot.
@luigi; I got the masks from Ad Astra.
@bob; The base colours were Gunze RLM 74 followed by heavily chipped Tamiya Red Brown.

Thanks Haggis. Those panels look great, and I'm trying to duplicate the effect.
