Hi again my good friends, it's great to see you back in diorama section. First I cut a plastic card leaning base to start with. This was filled up with plaster. I let this dry and brushed water thinned wood glue over the surface. I then sprinkled fine sand mixed with pigments in the glue bed. That of course had to dry too. The sides were then masked off and a couple of Matt Earth (acrylic paint) mists were airbrushed on. Over the sandy surface again thinned wood glue was brushed on and completely covered with fine birch seeds (50% was broken up). The seeds were then given a couple of autumn color tones. Three coffees later I went on with a stunning product : laser cut paper oak leaves. Before I cut them loose from the fret I gave them also couple of autumn colors with my airbrush. Then they were cut. To break up the look of the seeds more, I glued on hundreds of these oak leaves. Then the Ford model was installed onto the base. I ordered more laser cut leaves to further complete the surface, so it's not completely done yet. Ferns will be added too, as are grasses, weeds... I hope you like it so far : Best regards ! AG.

Love this! The green weathering on the wheels is my favourite as it looks so realistic!

Thank you for all the great comments gents !!! A bit of progress in the forest : I started planting the ferns, there's still much more to come. This is how they come : To point myself in the right direction I studied many reference photos of autumn ferns, this was an important one as I like the soft greens, golden yellows and warm browns : ONLY for reference purposes !!! They were glued into small drilled holes with thinned wood glue and secured with cut off tooth pick points. Best regards ! AG.

I need to be more observant; I missed the switch in forums, dooeeee. Wow, that’s a lot of oak leaves AG, looks pretty natural on the dispersal and the ferns are lookin good. I like the mossy touch along the body too, adds the right touch. Bravo!
Cheers, Ski.
