Who said Friuls don't work so good on a Sherman? Any tighter and I would hurt myself. The other side is two thirds assembled but the boss said "NO Over Time" tonight so I had to shut down the line. My hands are tired anyway Tony lee

Why Me Lord? Old Redneck saying "I Can Get-R-Done" NO where on your birth certificate does it say "EASY" Tony lee Tony
Looks like a total Cowabunga, what happened to that tub?? If the last pic is the saved tub I have to say nice save. I have one of these in the box and I hope when I get to it I wont find that kind of disaster.

I have a strong feeling that the vendor swapped out the hull with someone that let it get too HOT. I called the vendor for a replacement and he said to contact the importer for a replacement because the kit was his last one. I sent the importer an e-mail with pictures but never heard a word from them. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush they say Today's Progress: Those pulleys will cause your hair to turn gray or fall out, frequent breaks are recommended if you're planning on keeping the glue only where it belongs. I haven't even started on the front end yet. A lot of time wasted just fillin knock out spots and sinks. It's cooled down in the 80s and rain is suppose to be headed this way. I'm late coming to this and was intrigued by the title, are there pics of the save?? Your continued efforts are as usual very good.

Tony
Nice work on the tracks, I have only used them once and I took strait pins and cut them for each track pin and found the worked better than plain wire but seeing your results I would say you cant beat what you did.

Bones, What you see is that warped mess. I kept dipping it in boiling water, bend it a little into position, cool it off with cold water, back in the hot water, bend, cold water. I kept doing that until it was somewhat back where it should be and then I started at the front gluing parts on that would hold it square. Clamps and rubber bands front to back until the glue cured. It's not perfect but I can live with it. Thanks for coming by my humble shop Tony lee

Tony
I thought the little woman turned your computer off for the night, sounds like a good way to fix the warping I appreciate the pointer.

C.B. you'll need to tell me about this one? ? M43 had vertical ammo like this one. Exhaust has been moved from rear exit to front with exposed silencers/mufflers Red reflector on lower steps Short travel lock like M43 Sure looks like a 155 has replaced the 8inch howitzer barrel. ?? Great pictures no matter how you look at it Chris, Thanks Tony lee Tony, cheers,re the piccies ....but at the moment I can't help with the rest of the questions...still trying to find the front piccies on me steam driven 'puter!!!!

Saturday Update: About 4am we had a pretty strong sound and light show with up to 78mph wind gust and a little over an inch of rain with more on the way. The bench was hummin with activity working on the north end of the M40. Tools are cleaned up and ready for paint, some PE was placed and the spare track link holders fabricated. The kit provides two options, empty PE brackets or one piece molded plastic with track links. I combined the two by picking out the best links, three of them had sinks holes big enough to wash dishes in and three good ones. I cut out and trimmed up the three good ones then drilled them out for new end cap pins. I had to make a couple of retainer straps and pins to hold the tracks in the brackets. I'm happy with how those turned out. Just few more odds and ends added but nothing big. Chalk up another good day for the old folks Cheers Tony lee

Tony
I don't know how you do it, I would die if I did not get at least 8 or 9 hours of REMS and maybe an afternoon nap. Besides I dream up some of my best moves at 4:00am and would have no inspiration with those thoughts if my declarative memory were not fully re-charged.
