As far as I know the AA set is the only conversion that's still available - there were a couple of others (Cromwell I think was one) back in the day, but I don't believe they're still in production.
Chieftain! Don't see them get built up enough. Can't wait!

John, that Tammy kit, ain't strictly a Mk5,its a Mk3 just about.Ken Holland is the man to really talk to.he knows the conversions for most of the Chiefys, from the various manufacturers. As far as I'm aware, the AA conversion may be the only kid on the block,as far as the Mk10 is concerned The Mk10 had different engine decking, and CPS (crew protection system)extra armour added to the turret front, and frontal armour on the hull.Engine had been upgraded,as had the fire control systems. But like I said,Ken knows these better than me,cos they came out after I left EDIT.....I do have the Osprey book on the Chiefy,if ya feel the need for it

Nice project. I've always liked the Berlin Brigade paint scheme.

Thanks, I hope I'll be ok with the Tamiya kit, the AA description says its meant to work with that model. I do appreciate the help on this I really am going in blind. And I suppose I've got to think tracks for this.....can I get fruilees for a MK10 Chieftain or did the tracks stay the same?

That isn't really a colour scheme mate, that's red primer lol, I turned up just before he was about to obliterate that lovely camo scheme on the Chieftain! The Type 59 (I think it's a 59) is an Israeli tank I think??? I have some pics before it turned red lol I'll try and fish them out. Nice people there, he let me walk all over it and take pics.
