This may or may not be under the right category, so I apologize in advance if that's the case. Discovered this gem at the Collings Foundation's Battle for the Airfield this weekend. Never did a walkaround before, but I got pics of whatever I though could help someone, without getting repetitive.

(In case you didn't notice, this is the FRONT  ...Leather headlight covers though, that's interesting, I think. Well, I never saw it before lol)

Anyone know what WL stands for? I'm used to seeing either WH or SS.

Other than that, I hope this helps for someone, somewhere. I have a few pics of reenactors, allied and German if anyone would like me to toss those up as well.

Man oh man will I regret staying up to finish this when I'm at work tomorrow

Very useful set of pics for reference !
The WL = Wehrmacht Luftwaffe .
Along with the WM and SS as you mentioned there was also these......
WM = Wehrmacht Marine (navy)
POL = Polizei (police)

See the "R" on the front fender and tail gate in that unique diamond shape? That's the insignia of the "Ramcke Brigade". They were Fallschirmjaeger, i.e. paratroopers, in North Africa.

Definately Luftwaffe.

Yep, Ramcke! What I find interesting is the type sign reading: "Entstört nach Gruppe II"

Obviously this baby is hardened and has an EMC classification, already in 1941!!! I wasn't aware that this was practice back then...
