Thanks Spud! I decided to scrape off and scratch build the motor as most of the details made no sense. (to me anyhow) Since I have a few Cryogenic pumps at work, I tried to get the looks of a LOX pump, then I added a "push/Pull" throttle from some used 40 year old greeblies we threw away at work.

Always liked the checkerboard look on a lot of WWII fighters, and since these booms were salvaged P38 Nacelles I thought, "Why not?" I decided against decals and opted for paint as I like the "field applied" look :

Here's another thing I wanted to try: my new beading tool set for adding rivet detail. The Falke kit is odd in that some panels are riveted for access while others are only partly completed. Now, while I don't count rivets I did want the airframe to look more complete, so after it I went---to the tune of over 400 rivets. Sorry if the pic isn't good:

BTW----the Big Freaking "pew-pew" guns mounted on the booms are stolen from a Star Wars Trade Federation Tank.
I also feel sometimes MaK stuff is horribly "under gunned." ;D

Neb- I am with you man! Ma.K stuff screams for bare metal finish!
Really cool effects you obtained on these!

Man this is one fantastic finish. The weathering really adds to it too. Very impressive work.

Thanks gents! High praise from you fellas! I gotta say---in my 50 years on this planet, I had more fun building this Falke than any other model I've ever built. And it was a great testbed to try a lot of techniques I'd been too afraid to try before. Got a couple more I'll post later this week---working on getting my Mom squared away in a nursing home.
