Hi guys! I am new here and want to share my project with you. Its a T-34/76 model 1942 with the drop forged turret. Its a kitbash between the Dragon 6487 kit and the AFV club af35S51 special edition kit. I had bought the AFV club extra for the interior. Verlinden produces also an interior and engine, but it would be double the price...The photo etch is from ET models E35037 and 35147. These are cheaper and more complete than Voyager and Aber. Although Aber has the 3D engine deck grills, the ET set is just fine. The shells are from Verlinden T-34/76 ammo shells. Some photos with the build complete. Some modifications has been made later. Welding seam on the gunmantle and the accesshatch on the rear is open. Enjoy! Regards, Remco

@ Luis- I know, but i think that this is more intresting to post my build here than Facebook ? @ Dierk- Is this THE famous Dierk from Armorama?? Good to see you my old friend!! It was indeed a kitbash first class. I had no idea this would be so intensive with building. I am happy with the results Regards, Remco

Hoera! leuk om je hier te zien Dierk! This is indeed a nice forum, with a lot of laughs here. Yes Luigi, one is missing...(i think i know who refer to). It almost feels like home now Unfortunately i have not found the time to spray paint the T-34. Its a large spray job. Exterior like the hull parts, turret parts, wheels and suspension, tracks, engine compartment and of course the numerous parts of the fighting compartment! And i want to spray it all at once...Nope, i think i must do it in sections. 1- the hull and turret 2- tracks wheels and suspension 3- engine compartment 4-fighting compartment. My goodness, this is huge (for me). Regards, Remco

Okay, everything is airbrushed with AK Grey primer. The whole thing took 5 hours to do (2 and a half hour per session, then my neck starting to hurt...). Now i know why people don't make tanks with interriors. Especially blown up tanks, because it takes VERY much time to spray the thing! Now i am on vacation, so not much spraytime to do here, but when i start to "rustmodulation" i will post some photo's

Remco

I hope to catch some of the details in the model. I see many things i wanted to add, but sometimes you have to say its ok now. Or else you can't build a d#mm thing. For "rustmodulation" i will use the AK rust paintset. I never have used this and never made a wreck, so its a real challange for me.

Remco

I hope that i can airbrush the first layer of rustpaint soon Luis. I am also working on a article on this, so i can't reveal to much, although i want. The sharing and "how did you do this" technics are very important to me. The sharing is the cornerstone of modeling for me. I like to teach people how to build or guide them through new technics. The biggest reward for me is happy faces that i see, when they achieved a new level of modeling. So the most time i spend on developing or trying new technics.
Regards,
Remco
