Oh, the polish tankette... I'm currently reading Zaloga's book on german polish campaign and there are a couple of pics of that trap on tracks... I don't doubt it - this vehicle is so small I have no idea how they fit two guys in there along with gas, ammo, an engine and a transmission!

Better every time I look .22's would be too big I think plus they lack the shoulder seen on the 75mm L/71

Nice progress on the Turm Dupes, I'm intrigued by the camo pattern you've got on the TKS...looks like an urban/block-style pattern, neat!

That's indeed what it is - I'll have to grab a pic of Mirage's box art.

Keeping it coming! Got the assembly line shot from yesterday - three builds getting oil dots followed by chipping. And the Pantherturm with oil dots, chipping, and all the ammo I could find attached to the base: Wow ! Dang neat looking bench and this dio is really looking impressive .

Thanks Smudge! No update tonight...think the next one you're all going to get is the "finished" one in the next day or two.

Looks good dupes!
My only question - didn't you plan on a fig for this?

I had hoped to include one (so as to have it more readily defined as a "dio" or "vignette"), but haven't found anyone that actually works. Tried the DML guys from that BoB Sherman kit, and even picked up another Tamiya set that had some promise - especially in the right-era uniform department.
Part of the problem is actually placing the guy on there - unless he's standing on the concrete (nobody in remotely the right pose for that), there isn't anywhere flat to put him! That, and I have to either alter the barbed wire - more bloody fingers - or hope that no one wonders how he managed to get inside said wire.
That being said, I'm still trying to come up with a workaround, and if I come across the right dude I'd love to put him on there!

I thought about that, Todd, but then I run into the issue with the barbed wire again (which would only be around for an "active" emplacement) - how'd the soldier or child get in there?

Just cut the wire between two poles and pull it back a little... give the impression that someone had to get up close to take out this position. Maybe the tired Russian you'll have leaning on the turret.

Unfortunately I've done everything I can to get that stuff to stay where it is now - had a barbed wire explosion yesterday. Came off of one of the poles, loose loops of deadly PE flying about everywhere.

Came off of one of the poles, loose loops of deadly PE flying about everywhere. Oh really? I didn't realize it was STILL so dangerous. OK, maybe you're better off not messing with it!

Need to decide if I want this or the Wirbel in the MoM. That 1-per-month rule is bogus! Lol

Very nice Dupes, love the look you got on this one! If we relaxed the 1-per-month rule for you it would become the DMoM at your current rate of building!
