I've just started on a small 54mm vignette of a couple of French "Polius" during the battle for the town of Fluery in Verdun 1916. I have visited Verdun and the only thing left of this town is deep shell holes and bits of rubble. The town actually was captured and recaptured 16 times during the horrific fighting there. Painted with acrylics and I'm starting on the officer this weekend. Fluery today.
