This 1/16th scale diorama depicts a German Front Line Trench on the Western Front, 1917. This trench is hastily constructed from a large shell crater and is manned with an MG08/15 machine gun for anti-aircraft coverage. The construction of this diorama is detailed in a multi-part series on LC-TV ( bit.ly/1lz3bMu ) and is featured in the soon to be released Mr. Black Publication Scale Model Handbook - Diorama Modelling 1 which is now available for pre-order: shop.lastcavalry.com/mr-black-publications-scale-model-handbook-diorama-modelling-1/After one year of solid work on this project I'm glad that it's finally completed! Dave

Stunning. Every figure for itself is a piece of art, and if theyre together - even better. Out of interest: How did you create the barbed wire?

Thank you guys - it sure was a lot of work and a lot of fun too! Tigerazor - the bard wire was made by cutting plastic window screen (for the protruding barbs) in 3ft sections then wrapping with two pieces of wire at one end, insert into a rotary tool and slowly twist... takes a HUGE amount of time but great results!! I'm not sure if I am explaining the process that I use properly...

Dave, this is brilliantly done, the figures, the groundwork all blend in to make a great believable WW1 trench scene, well done. Thanks for posting and sharing this with us. Dennis
