Hey guys thought it was about time I finished this dio , started a year ago and has been sitting in my display case do nothing! The Panther is one of the Dragon kits which was a joy to build , not a lot of alterations were made Anyhoo just built this Academy Kubelwagen over the weekend and think it will work well in the finish ................ Added my own stowage along with a few other things to give a little interest , also gave it three flat tyres with the heated method , reckon it looks ok but I deffo need more practice at it! lol Will get the primer on tonight , then colour tomorrow

Just to make sure... they are in 1/72, right? They have great details at that size! Looking forward to see it done...

Need to build 80 kits per year until I'm 100 to deplete my stash. Maybe I should sell a couple.

Wow, the figs look very good! Here I can´t wait to see them painted. Details on the Kübelwagen are really nice and I love the added details. Even in this scale, you can detail this stuff to the max!

Thanks for looking in guy's , gonna keep this moving to the finish line .....famous last words lol ! Cheers Jeff , Frank .... now remember my last comment ......? ...... well I painted the two running guys up and didnt like them .... the Imex guy was too lanky and the Zvezda guy was too stocky . I want running guys in the finish and have managed to find one in the stash that I can use . With all the figures I have in the stash you would think it was easy but it's so hard to mix and match in this scale sometimes . Anyhoo I will keep ya's posted

Have you checked some time the Miniart 1:72 figures? They are very expensive, but amongst the best I have seen in this scale. They have two sets of Germans WWII, but static poses, and no fighting men in the field. But the detail is very well done and they are crisply cast in resin.
And yes, I know the pain of converting and doing extras on small scale figures. But the more pain the more will to do it!

Ah, just an hour ago I saw MANTIS German Officers done in 1:72, Resin. And, gulp, do they look good... It seems to me, that anytime I check some sites, I see newer and better stuff than before. Guys, we live in a modelers paradise these days!

Guys, we live in a modelers paradise these days! Frank Many thanks guys , your comments and encouragement are always welcome . Frank at the moment I am stocking up with figures from CP models and the TDQ castings range , dowside is they are white metal but I have worked with this medium before so its not a big deal to me . The detail is amazing and at a reasonable cost , when I started 1/72 these where the kind of figure sets I was looking for but had to settle with toy soldier sets until I found a good manufacturer. Have a look when you get the chance , they are UK based tho ............. www.cpmodelsminiatures.co.uk/TQD%20CASTINGS%20WWII%20GERMANY.htm

Ok guys , big changes here ... the main one is the Panther has been carefully removed from the base . Something didnt sit right for me with the whole set up , the Panther will be put on a new base with a minimal setting ..... Its been re-weathered and is just about ready for the new base .
