One disgustingly smelly evening later....I put a darker layer over the surface and put some on the explosion to blend them. At this point I had to do the thing I've been dreading. I tried wrapping cling film around the Viking and putting the silicone over it that way. It didn't work. So I had to cover it for real. 5 trouser filling minutes later. Once that had dried I put a really thin layer of clear silicone to make it look a bit more...liquidy. I also put some clear on the glacis plate and over the sides as run off. Sorry about the pic quality. Once i've charged me phone a bit I'll get better pics as the flash will work.

I need some grass tufts to break up the landscape, but what to use?...While waiting for the Mrs while she had a haircut I saw the answer on the floor right in front of me. So, thankyou very much to the anonymous lady who donated her grass like hair. I put a spot of silicone down and put the strands in cut to length. Here be the result. The best thing is once you've taken off the plastic its portable This be the lone figure on the ground. And the beginings of his scrim net I want to dig him in a bit in a grassy clump and try to camouflage him as best I can And finally the Apache has some colour. I have to say this Apache has been nothing but trouble, through no fault of it's own. I've lost so many pieces and had to scratch up replacements. I've got to the stage where I just want this one out of the way. Plus i've a 1/8th Airfix Norton Commando and Airfixs 1/350th Lusty waiting for me to do next.

Nice work on the Hellfire KP! Adding a bit of movement to the Dio adds a lot to the depth. Keep up to the good work!

I think you are looking for The Honorable Lead Boiler Suit Company ( www.hlbs.co.uk/ )I have no affiliation with them but just happened to find their site prior to logging in here tonight. Great Dio by the way. Fantastic water effects.
