Lately on SMA forum there is Modeling the Movies Group Build in which I decided to take part with Aragorn figure released by Andrea Miniatures. Unfortunately because I’ve been busy lately I only managed to assemble it and prime it. But I hope to make up the lost time soon.

I'll follow this Biskup as I have always had a soft spot for Andrea figures. I hope you enjoy this one. Dennis

For me the best Aragorn around. But is he still available, together with the Legolas Figure from Andrea? When I remember correct, there Predator and Alien Kits made some troubles with the Cent Fox? Anyway, I am curious how you will paint him.

Well the LOTR along with some other movie stuff isn't available any more. But all Alien and Predator kits are. I got this kit from second hand. With some damage done to him as he wasn't stored properly and parts where squeezed open each other doing the damage. That's why it took me really long to prepare him for painting.

Hi Lukasz, Very nicely painted and I like the dirty weathered look you have given to his cape. Nice touch to add the "Ring"! The groundwork is fantastic During the priming process do you first use a black spray from underneath then a grey from above? A pity that the figure wasn't very well looked after before you bought it, a shame really considering many Andrea kits like this one aren't easy to find these days. All the best for 2015, Shay

Sadly, I do not have this figure (either the Legolas, heck!) and would love to paint them, too. Great work on this one here, top Basework! I love the overall "green" look which melts it all together. Do you have the Legolas, too??

Hi Lukasz,
I love this figure, indeed very difficult to find today as Legolas too. I like your general tone, the atmosphere suggested, you created a harmonious scene starting for just a few colours related(which, sometimes, looking for different colours and all kind of well attractive combinations, we miss). Very well done the weathering on the cap and the groundwork is top class. The base with the ring attached was an excellent idea. Looking with interest for your future projects! Nicolae

Hi, Sorry for the late reply! I was interested in your style of priming the figure. I guess you do a "mist" like coat when you use the different primers to bring the highlights out? Is there any loss of detail of the figure afterwards? I learnt to only use one light primer, always intereted in learning a different technique!! Cheers, Shay

Thank you my friends Nicolae - Thank you Shay - when you learn how to control the primers and use them correctly you won't obscure any details. That my only happen at the beginning to use them. But he you got to learn some day By using several primers you don't need to cover the figure with future colors entirely as you already have shaded and highlighted figure Frank - Not yet but I think soon
