Drats, foiled again!! Building a F-86 covered in BMF has made me want to build another aircraft using foil. So, I have chosen to build Monogram's B-25. Hopefully over the next day or two, I will have a good amount of the interior done; I have primed the surfaces that will receive zinc chromate and be fabric surfaces. I will more than likely build it straight from the box, however, I may change my mind on some things as I go along.

If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the precipitate.

WOW! You are feeling pretty ambitious. I just checked out the F-86 - what a great job. Now on to this, eh? Can't wait to see this think all foiled up!!

This will be a great change of pace. Don't get to see many BMF projects to often. Will certainly keep an eye on this on. Rick

Cant wait to see what you do with this one. I love seeing these old kits get some loving. It's not usually something I'm brave enough for

Indeed, I'm with Jimmy - great to see these actually get built.
Question, though...are you going to foil over the raised panel lines? Or sand and rescribe?

Thank you for the encouragement guys, I am really looking forward to starting this build. I'm pondering sanding and rescribing the panel lines, not sure yet; though with the time I have waiting for my ordered foil, I should have a couple weeks to detail before it comes in. Bruce has definitely convinced me that I have to wire the engines up, so I will be doing that for sure. Here is a few pics of the fuselage and other parts with one coat of zinc chromate on them. When I get home tonight I'll be putting another coat on and possibly digging another kit out to start prep work on for if I have a large amount of downtime waiting for foil (I'm thinking P-61 ) -Alex

Count me in! Nice idea trying to get some things cleaned up and together before you get the foil! I like the sounds of the 61 on the go while you wait too!!

Thank you guys! I've decided to not do a p-61 while waiting to foil, I purchased a started/glue bomb Tamiya Porsche 956 which I have begun prepwork and some paint on, will start a thread for that soonish. Here are a few update pics from last night, I assembled the wing halves, and scribed the majority of the fuselage. Boy, scribing sure is neat and fun; I want to scribe everything now . Im going to try and do some detailing on the interior tonight and some other paint on the interior. Also I will attempt to locate my pin vise so I can make some holes to wire the engines.

Cool! I have two I want to foil. A B-25J Mitchell and the F-105F Thud PLUS, a build straight out of the box a B-25B... one of 16 Doolittle Raiders. I will be watching this and hope to pickup some tips! Jeff

I've reserved a seat in the front row. This will be very interesting.
