Not usually a sci-fi model fan but the "RainbowEgg" caught my eye. Glad it did. Nice work. being as spindly as it is that must have been tedious to say the least. Curious as tot eh size. How tall it that?

Wow! Will the finished model be able to stand on its own without the brass rod to prop it up?

What an interesting piece!! Great job getting together! Don't blame you for wanting to not mess with it too much!! Best of luck to you in the painting stage!!

Right now it stands about 10-11" tall. with the legs fully extended straight, it could be over 18". IF the legs are fixed in place - glued everywhere, it could probably hold its own weight but I would be concerned about sag over time. Right now it's a floppy mess and the support rod isn't sufficient for the job.
I want to display one front leg raised. I don't know if it would need the rod then or not. It's a little side and back heavy with that large gun even though it's hollow.
The engine set for the Oskar just became available. Switching gears. ;-)
