Question? Is that dimple on the MG side of the mantlet supposed to be there, or is that a sinkmark? Looking at pics of the Puma on line the mantlet lines seem to be smoother. Just curious....

Well I couldn't tell you one way or the other, however there are other parts with sinkmarks so it could be. I will do some looking to see it there is a difference in the Puma and this one as it was experimental. Terry

That mantlet looks loads better now, Terry. Hated to make the extra work for you, but it just didn't look right before.

Point 2... the smoke wiring. Personally, I thought the wires entered the turret right behind the mount, but it seems I was wrong. Finding pics showing those things clearly is really hard to do, but I did get one...sort of. It shows a different set up than you've got (not saying yours is wrong..I don't know) Here's a link: www.panzernot.net/wp-content/uploads/Puma/Puma13.jpgLooking at it, it seems there's a single conduit leading out of the turret top, running down the front of the mount. I can only surmise the three wires were fed through this. Again, I may be wrong. Have you got any info showing the set up you depict? Both may have been available, I guess. I'm just picking brains for use on future builds.

You keep pickin and I'll keep fixin we'll get a good model yet.

I promise I won't be needling you all the way through the build, honest! Besides, once you get past the turret, everything else is pure speculation since the rest of the tank was never actually built.
