Hey guys, so yep it's been a while, but I've been busy. Here's a Nichimo B5N2 Kate. It's my first wingy thingy since I was a pre-teen (and my first prop plane, for that matter )and I'm digging it! It's a high quality kit with good detail as far as I can tell. It did have a little flash to remove, but not a big deal. Here's the office. Got some sagged wheels too. pretty cool. Actually got this kit along with about 15 others at a garage sale. Here's the plane. the engine and tip are black but masked. Check out the wing details Yep, it's a torpedo Sorry for the white on white. I'm going for a nice camo pattern on top. Love the camo. Let me know what you think. Cheers

oh man, that's the kit I had wanted. love that huge torpedo hanging under it.
Some nice details on the wings, lots of teenie rivets. got the paint going on already eh, man I need to get my butt in gear, you guys are pumping out these models like madd.
yeah the white on white doesn't work well. Buy some cheap blue or black poster board at the dollar store, will be much better for us to see your handy work.

Why worry, each of us is wearing an unlicensed nuclear accelerator on his back.

Ok, update time. Here's the green camo on top that I did last night.... and here's what I got done today. The decals. I like the way the red stands out against the green. All I've to do is add the canopy and prop, finish painting the tires, and add some weathering and that's a Kate for the shelf. Been a great build.

Looks very cool. Yeah I have to agree, the red meatball against the green does stand out. I am very tempted now to get mine going.....but too many other projects that have to be finished firt.

Nate, this is a very fine bird indeed! I love how you painted the interior and the patchy green is just fabulous. And those rivets, what a stunning detail! Will look great when finished no doubt ^^
Cheers

Thanks for the comments fellas Update time. So I 've been on my Spring Break from school (finally!) and other than the wife making me paint my bedroom and bathroom four different colors, much of my other time has been spent modeling . Here' the Kate complete It was a fun build and I plan on doing another japanese plane for the GB as always let me know what you think. Cheers.

Very nice Nate. I have been trying to stay away from this build, and all wingies so I don't get tempted.

Kate came out very well, consider a wash especially on that underside as it will really bring out the detail
