Can't say it better than Mike did so here's a cut/paste (edited as needed) of a post he just put up...
All MSC memebrs are invited to attend New Jersey IPMS's Mosquitocon Model Contest & Flea Market on Saturday April 4 2015.
The Wayne PAL Hall is located on PAL Drive which is accessible just off of Route 23, about a mile or so north of Route 80-take the 1st exit as you head north on Rt.23 from Rt.80.
Fees:
Adult Registraton - $15 (Unlimited Model Entries) Junior registration (under 16 years old) - $5
Adult Walk-In - $10 Under 12 - free
Show Theme - END GAME marking the 70th Anniversary of the End of WWII and 40th Anniversary of the End of the Vietnam War.
Why come to Mosquitocon, you ask ?
Well, here's just a few reasons:
*It's the largest annual model hobby event in Jersey and one of largest on the east coast. *Attendees state that it's the most fun model show they have ever been to. *NJIPMS's show staff (basically the entire membership) are seasoned professionals, with 23 annual Mosquitocon shows and 3 IPMS USA Regionals under their belts *Mosquitocon boasts more vendors and better vendors than most IPMS USA Regional shows. *Venue lighting is superb *Food is very good - TRY THE BEST OF JERSEY CUISINE - TAYLOR HAM & EGG ON A HARD ROLL for Breakfast! *Number of models competing meets or exceeds the amount that show up at most IPMS USA Regionals *Modelers attend our show from the 4 points of the compass in America as well as from Europe, South America and Asia *We have great looking awards *Our Raffle Prizes are better than that offered at most IPMS USA Regional shows - we even have a couple of top of the line airbrushes this year for prizes. *We have a Make and take for younger modelers - bring the kids!
For the 2015 Show, you can log onto our webshttp://www.njipms.org and take look at the show details, directions, addresses, 2015 dowloadable show flyer and model entry forms, list of categories, list of special awards, rules and other pertinent info.

That's what I'm saying, Jimmy!. Even for me (i.e., not Texas) it's just shy of a 500 mile drive. *Sigh*.
Those breakfast thingies sound pretty tasty, too.

HOLY MOSES! Mosquito Con was a huge success. A MASSIVE THANKS YOU to everyone that came out and made it happen. I am not 100 % sure of the final tallies but about 126 entrants, not a record, but, with about 575 models and pretty darn sure that's a record. Last year AMPS Nats were the same weekend and the armor table was thin at best. The theory of overcompensation was proven once again. The armored table was FULL. Glad I didn't have anything on that table Not sure if armor ever beat aircraft totals but I think there's a shot at it this year. The model quietly was unreal. I hag a good day. Out of 5 entries I got two 1st place for the Seehund in "Subs" and the Eindecker in "Aircraft-1/72 scale". And two 3rd place awards for the Harry Tate. in "1/32 Aircraft- Props and Jets" and the cutaway 38(t) , "At the Museum" in "Dioramas & Vignettes". This is about 1/2 of the vendor room Some display room shots. 1st shot is maybe 1/3 the model room Here's slide show of the shots I got. These were taken for the club website so I just got what was on the tables when I made my pass so unfortunately not a lot of the armor since another member was shooting that table. SLIDESHOW

Thanks Marc. Well, since we are New Jersey IPMS I'm pretty sure that we have to stay in New Jersey. And there isn't too much NJ North of where we put on on the show. So if the pics have inspired you enough you'll have to make the trip I guess. Maybe get a van and pick up the MA and CT guys on the way down
