Hi all, the Kastelan Robots are completed, time to find a new challenge. I had so much fun with the Hasegawa Vanship some time ago... and did my own interpretation of it by using a Fiat plane in 1/48... that I now want to go a bit larger. I found a very cool Matchbox Bugatti Type 59 for just 10 bucks which is just perfect for this (please forgive me, Matchbox enthusiasts. ). Loads to do here, the plan is to create a scratched engine as well.

Yeah, those Aires figures look damn good. Finally the engine compartment got its final shape. Still loads to do like cables, armatures, and all that details that make the engine look busy.

Hadn't looked at this lately. Man, have I missed a lot! Are those ammo pouches on the engine nacelle?
Paint and decals turned out well.

Thank you Andy. Yes, those are WW1 ammo pouches - I had some left and they fit quite well here.

LOL. Thanks. I had a spare decal sheet here from a Kamei Golf Mk.I (as far as I know known as "Rabbit" is USA). The decals are mostly from Tamiyas racer, and some (like Castrol etc.) from a pit stop crew (Hasegawa). Most of the ideas came spotaneously and it was trial and error - small space small decals etc, stuff like that. Who knows - maybe its a VW Golf Mk. XXVII or something.

Great finish. I, too, had to laugh at the "VW" power plant! That was an insanely nice touch!
