Well, I promised to make a short chronicle to this event (my poor English, a lot of details, a good trap for me). Not only because is the only of its type in my country (hopefully, it seems the situation are gonna change!), but also because of its high qualitative level. Even that the organizers had at the beginning some small problems, the place, the atmosphere, the good weather, the works presented, all contributed to a really success. The edition of this year, organized by ALBA MODELLERS ASSOCIATION - IPMS ROMANIA in collaboration with THE CITY OF ALBA IULIA, enjoyed the presence of more than 82 participants from Romania, Italy, Great Britain and Hungary and 242 works exposed. Not only "independents" but also members of Romanian (IPMS Romania - AMA, Alba Iulia, Tapir Models, Bucharest), Hungarian (DMK - Debreceni Makettező Klub, Debrecen; KIT MAKETT KLUB, Szeghalom; MAKETTINFO, Budapest; Miskolci Makettezől Egyesülete, Miskolc; MOK Jászberény,Jászberény;MMK, Mosonmagyarovar) and Italian (AMB Brescia and GMC-Gruppo Modellisti Centumacellae, Civitavecchia) clubs. Almost 90 trophys, Gold, Silver, Bronze, special awards and the trophy for the best work of the Contest. In addition, the Italians and the Hungarians colleagues offered awards on behalf of their clubs. Also, the representant of the League of Navy Petty Officers from Constanta granted some diplomas for mastercraft. Enjoy the photos (thanks to my friend, Bogdan Papuse)! I have a good friend from Romania that I met playing online games. Given what I've learned about your country I am surprised, yet pleased, to heat that you have an IPMS and a show at all. I always enjoy seeing pictures of your country. It's beautiful. We plan to visit someday in the not too distant future hopefully. Looks like a great show. Good thing to have it in the daytime too...given the vampire problem ( sorry running joke with us). Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Jim! You can travel relaxed, no vampires around. The IPMS Romania show, the end of May, could be a good opportunity. Why not?

Haha. I could just see my wife's reaction to dragging her to the other side of the globe and taking her to a model show. . I think she's still surprised I didn't try to find a hobby shop while we were on vacation.

I'm glad you like it, mates! For me it was the first experience of this type even that I could participate only with two 54 mm figurines, the Polish Hussar and the Teuton Knight that you know. But the joy to see close these beauties, the atmosphere, the place itself, the guys and the sociability moments contributed to a very fine meeting. Ovidiu Socaci, the head of AMA club, and his colleagues deserves all the thanks for passing over all the difficulties and offering us, again, a great show. A really fine experience that I hope enjoy again next year. Cheers! Nicolae
