For SMA BSC I’m making Cylon Raider from Moebius Models and I wanted to share that build whit you. For now I prepared the parts for primer. If anyone decides to make this kit I would advise you to extend panel lines on the wings as few of them were made to short and they end before they go under one of the elements glued to the wing. I’ve marked those places with black marker. Now I’m trying to decide which version to make a standard Raider or maybe „Scare” Cheers Lukasz

Lukasz Great looking kit and nice start to the build too, my money I'd do the "Scar" version you could do a great job adding the damage and weathering I'm along for the ride on this one for sure. Cheers, Thom

Hey guy's. Thank you for feedback. Unfortunately I went thru documentation and I decided not to make Scar version. Reason for this is that I don't like to do something part way and the amount of changes that would be needed to this kit wouldn't allow me to finish it in time on the level that would satisfy me. So I will make Scar next time I will make this kit and for know I will be doing a standard version.

I bought a set to light the Raider from Ant's Nest, which has been professionally prepared by Anthony Hughes. Information on this and other sets of his authorship can be found on the page or a blog. The kit is available in two options: a fully assembled one and prepared for installation in the model or a version that requires minor assembly. This is how the assembled set looks without power source. I did not like the way to power source is attached to the model, so I decided to change it and hide with batteries in the base. This is how it looks for this moment.

All parts of the model along with the stand were painted with automotive primer and then painted gloss black automotive paint. After paint dried I painted it with Model Master Metalizers: Stainless Steel, Gun Metal and Exhaust. One more color and the ship will be ready for assembly and further work.

Need to build 80 kits per year until I'm 100 to deplete my stash. Maybe I should sell a couple.

Here is an small update. The ship is almost put together except to the front leans. It only needs some weathering and it will be ready.

Beautiful finish on this Lukasz You said you used automotive black gloss, did you de-cant this to an airbrush or use it straight out the rattle can? Can't wait to see the weathering Gag

Thank you Dicky, Mack and Gag. Gag – I used the one that are sold to Car body shop in normal can (not spray paint) but if I would have spray can then I would unload it in to a jar first then airbrush it. I’ve put decals on the stand which I made myself and afterwards I’ve sealed it with varnish.
