You've done an excellent job integrating the modifications to the original, white paint is always brutally honest for pointing out flaws.

I would offer to model it for you but then you would end up a Jabbatrooper.

I sprayed a coat of white on far to heavily. After leaving it for 5 days I started doing some of the detailing work. While doing so I carefully held it with a paper towel which ended up sticking to the soft paint and leaving a patterned imprint on the chest. Really spoilt my day. Never mind, I am just going to ignore it. Hopefully with a light polish it will not be too noticeable.

It would appear that I was far to slow getting a patent on the Stormtrooperette. One must always take great care with ground breaking new ideas. Industrial Spies are lurking around every corner.

Never mind - your build will look nice too. A complete kit OOB is for beginners.

Finally I have finished building the Stormtrooperette Speeder Bike. Not really sure if I am happy with it of not. Also I think I should have painted the stabilizer ski white as it gets a little lost sitting on the asphalt.

Fine looking machine, and some very nice scratch-building! But I think you're right about the ski - it all but disappears on the tarmac. Personally I would add more chipping on the foot boards - those heels would have played havoc with the paintjob Maybe some more scuffs around the engine pods? I'm assuming you're going to paint the taillight?

Thanks Dierk. I have not attached the bike to the base yet so I think I will repaint the ski white. There is a bit more weathering than the photo shows. I did not want to go too far with he weathering on this as doing so I fear will make the Stormtrooperette too clean looking. I think you are right - I should scuff the pods up a little. Not sure about the tail light. The tail light unit is part of the bodies metal casting or else I would have removed it. Is one required to have tail lights on their galactic speeder bikes ? Clearly I need to do a little more research on the legal requirements of such vehicles.

Well, I'm no expert on the legal requirements concerning vehicular lighting installations in a galaxy far, far away, but as it is it just looks like an unpainted tail light - that would probably upset the Stormtrooperette's sense of style . I'd say you have three options: paint it, but that'll look a bit boring and will make it look more like a Vespa again. Get a metal file and grind it off, or - my favourite - hide it behind some bodywork, something in the shape of a shark's tailfin turned 90 degrees. Just my low-denomination coin's worth.

The ski is one of those funny things...if it wasn't sitting on the asphalt, the color contrast with the white body would make perfect sense...as it is, it almost seems like it's hovering on its own from certain angles.
