Another long term project that keeps getting put to one side are these Plastic Soldier Company Lloyd carriers and (eventually) a 6 pounder AT gun. Progress is quite slow with these as finding descent reference photographs of the different Lloyd types interiors is quite hard and/or speculative and varied between units One will be a crew transport/gun tractor and the other will be an up armoured ammo carrier, 1p coin in the background to scale off of, this is how they look as of today..... C&Cs welcome ATB Sean

As promised, something green is back on the bench, I've chosen to continue with these and make a start on the 6 pounder. Progress as of last session.... Seat swabs are in for the drivers in both carriers and the passengers in the crew carrier, fitted the kit load for the ammo carrier, plus added some more cases, scratch built the fuel cans (not yet finished, still need filler caps), storage rack and hooks for a rope, thats it for now... More to follow.... ATB Sean

Definitely dressing these up nicely with the scratch-build add-ons Sean. By the time you're done, there will be more white than gray!

Some more progress today, I think I'm going to call them ready for paint now.... Scratch building Lee Enfields to sit in the rack in the back of the crew Lloyd (apologies for this pic, it was taken on my phone).... The crew, still need to do some green stuff work on them before paint.... Just prior to laying on primer... ATB Sean

Primers, base coats and first colours on, These photos just prior to them getting their gloss coat ready for pin lining. All unit markings, reg numbers and markings are hand painted by me as I don't have the appropriate decals, not happy with the stars as they are a little off kilter and shape, but they are close. Gloss coat is on and drying as a type, pin lines, first matt coat and first round of weathering tomorrow.... ATB Sean

Looking good under paint and with the markings on Sean. Amazing how much detail you've got popping out on these little guys.

Hi there,
Very nice build, especially when you consider the scale!! Nice subject too, you don't see these that often. I'm going to tag along to see these finished.
Thanks for sharing,
Richard.

Thanks guys, progress has slowed a bit at the moment due to painting up the 6 crew, plus the new project has been started and drawing my attention away, should be done soon though!

Sean Now I see what you meant on the BM forum that you'd put a lot of extra work in!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's a brilliant, brilliant job!!!! What did you use to make the gear/track controls in the driver's position? Was it just thin plastic bent to the right shape?? Thank again for sharing Andrew
