Sean Now I see what you meant on the BM forum that you'd put a lot of extra work in!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's a brilliant, brilliant job!!!! What did you use to make the gear/track controls in the driver's position? Was it just thin plastic bent to the right shape?? Thank again for sharing Andrew Yes mate, just plastic rod bent to the right shape, knob on the end of the gear lever is a blob of Mitre Bond. My scratch build box is full of different diameter, width and section plastic rods specially for all the additions I normally make to most of the kits I build

I've obviously come across a fair few sites that sell plastic sheeting and rods but I'm never sure on whether they are good value for money. Also what thickness was the sheeting you used? It looks pretty thin about 1-2mm? Thanks Andrew

I get most of it from my local model shop, he specialises in railways but does a small selection of kits as well, he also sells a lot of scenery building gear, so he sells stuff like evergreen strip, rod and sheet also, he also sells items in singles which is handy if I only want a single length of T or L section to make specific track links etc
I have bought the really fine rod off the tinterweb before, but most places only sell it in a pack of 10, which can get expensive if you only need 1, but I normally find a use for most things.
