Morning everyone. This is more of a what if type question. Has anyone used 1/35 scale figures with a 1/32 scale helo/aircraft build? While I know the size is slightly off, is it feasible? Opinions?

You can get away with it depending on what you're having the figures do...if they are just standing around, it probably won't be that big of a difference. If you try fitting them into seats or similar, you may have more trouble. It really will all boil down to the average height that the figures were based on before they were scaled down. For example if the average height is 5 ft. 7 inches...that's 67 inches. In 1/35 that works out to 1.9 inches tall...in 1/32 it's 2.09 inches...not a huge difference to be sure, but sometimes even a couple of mm can throw a big wrench into things. HTH!

Like Bill said, you can get away. As for us human beings, we have guys standing at 5 feet or 6 feet and 2 inches. Not all of us have same height... so 1/32 figure may be a tall guy.

It helps. Just one of the questions I wanted to ask since so many more people here with more experience might have mixed scales on a build.

Figure sets from certain manufacturers (Dragon and MiniArt) are notorious for being slightly too big in 1/35. Not sure if you want figures straight from the box or are willing to chop and modify figures. If so, then the field is wide open to add just a little material here or there to increase the overall size. Hornet has a set of slightly largish figure heads sold as 1/32 scale. They has all the high quality sculpting we expect from Hornet.

Gear can be more of an issue than the figures themselves - be sure you don't have a 1/35 and 1/32 M16 (for example) right next to each other!

Thanks again everyone for the help. I was planning on having using some figures to go in the back of Revell's UH-1D. Looks like if I keep the figures and equipment the same scale I should be fine.
